12/31/2023 0 Comments Dying light gunIt's another powerful Artifact weapon, and two-handed as you might imagine. The Enso Katana is the most stylish melee weapon in the game by far. Not only does Heavy Duty feature fantastic damage potential, but, being an Artifact rarity weapon, it has three mod slots that you can use to boost its damage, longevity, and effects to really get the most out of this lovely little post-Epilogue reward. And it's worth doing just for this massive two-handed beast of a weapon, which should have no trouble cutting down anything in your path. Don't worry, you can enjoy its immense strength forever more, because you can keep playing Dying Light 2 after the Epilogue. Heavy Duty is a powerful endgame axe which you unlock once you complete the final story mission in Dying Light 2. The customisation aspect comes in the form of the different elemental bolts, which range from normal bolts to those which stun, explode, bleed, freeze, and poison enemies. It's a ranged weapon, which means you do not need to repair it and you also don't need to spend resources installing weapon mods to make it great, because it has no mod slots available. What is there not to love about the PK Crossbow? It features very high damage and an immensely fast rate of fire. The fourth Peacekeeper alignment reward is the Crossbow Pack, which unlocks the unique PK semi-automatic Crossbow and a set of blueprints for crafting different kinds of bolts. The only way to get it is to give control of four Facilities to the Peacekeepers - one of the two major Dying Light 2 Factions. The PK Crossbow is by far the best weapon in Dying Light 2 in my opinion. As you increase your player level, the baseline damage of newly found weapons increases, which means if you play enough then you'll likely come across ordinary loot that far outstrips anything on this list.īut the below weapons are all still tremendously powerful when you get them, and should easily give you the power trip you're looking for.īest weapons in Dying Light 2 PK Crossbow One final thing to consider is loot scaling. So if you truly want the best weapon possible, make sure you read our section below on using the best weapon mods along with your weapons, because you can't switch weapon mods in Dying Light 2 once you've installed them! Most melee weapons have between 1 and 3 mod slots where you can add mods to increase its damage, add critical hit or charge-up effects, and so on. Then there are weapon mods, which is how you can upgrade your weapons beyond their initial state. These attributes are randomised between weapons (even unique weapons), and they can make a big difference, so pay attention to whether a weapon deals bonus damage against humans or infected, or reduces the stamina required to attack, and so on. A large part of what makes a certain weapon great is its set of attributes. The latter is an incredibly unpleasant task, but it requires a very low level of technology to do.When searching for the best weapons in Dying Light 2, you have to consider a few things beyond just how rare it is and how much damage it deals. At the very least, someone in Villedor would be producing muskets and black powder. They were mass-produced hundreds of years before electricity became commonplace. A well-cared-for firearm can last centuries. As long as it doesn’t get moist, ammo won’t degrade, and the same goes for guns. However, there would still be a lot of small arms scattered in so many places that no military would be able to confiscate them all. Villedor is a European city, so there probably wasn’t the massive amount of guns one would find in an American city. However, the in-universe reason that there aren’t any firearms is so bad that it’s almost immersion-breaking. A common criticism of the original game is that guns made it too easy, so the game is now optimized primarily around co-op, stealth, melee combat, and parkour. But, of course, the real reason is that Techland wanted to concentrate on melee combat. The devs said no skilled gunsmiths were left to manufacture new guns, so there aren’t any available. The in-game reasoning behind there being no guns in Dying Light 2 is because the military somehow confiscated (almost) every firearm before abandoning the city. Other than that, guns are only seen in the hands of NPCs. Players can craft a makeshift shotgun in the late game, but it’s used as a piece of equipment instead of an equipable weapon.

The two I haven't already introduced are the AMD-powered Alienware m15 Ryzen Edition R5 ($1,649 as tested) and the trim MSI Stealth 15M ($1,699). Interestingly, MSI lists a $1,799 model with a GeForce RTX 3070 GPU and a higher-color-gamut screen, but it's hard to be enthusiastic about that one since my $1,499 model is already too ritzy for its kit.Īs for performance testing, I compared the GL66 Pulse to the 15.6-inch gaming laptops listed below. The $949 base model not only sports a non-Ti GeForce RTX 3050 but a humble 60Hz screen and 8GB of memory, though it would probably run cooler with its six-core Core i5-11400H. The only other GL66 Pulse I found for sale online was the $1,299 model 11UDK-076, which is also pricey considering it steps down to a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti. And again, Lenovo's Legion 5 Pro offers RTX 3070 graphics, a 165Hz display, and four-zone keyboard backlighting for about the same money as the GL66 Pulse. The MSI GF65 Katana also offers a GeForce RTX 3060 for less ($1,299 on Newegg), as does Dell's G15 Ryzen Edition (successor to the G5 15 SE), which I found for just $1,253 with an eight-core AMD Ryzen 7 5800H on. As noted, the Acer Predator Helios 300 is $150 cheaper at Amazon, albeit with a six-core (yet still quite capable) Core i7-10750H CPU. Still, $1,499 for the above specs is a bit pricey. I also like that this notebook has upgradable memory two SO-DIMM slots under a bottom panel allow up to 64GB (two 32GB modules). The hard drive provides practical room for today's games. The SSD follows the PCI Express 3.0, not the newer 4.0, standard the real-world gaming difference is debatable, but it'd be nice to see the new technology embraced. It's teamed with Intel's eight-core Core i7-11800H processor, 16GB of memory, a 512GB solid-state drive holding the Windows 10 Home operating system, and a 1TB hard drive. The MSI GL66 Pulse tested here (model 11UEK-034) is the only configuration with a 6GB GeForce RTX 3060. Pulse/Performance Ratio: Benchmarking the GL66 Surprisingly, the bottom of the notebook was barely above room temperature. MSI has also updated its logo lettering as seen just below the screen.Īt least the WASD key cluster stayed relatively cool (around 100 degrees F). The laser-etched shield logo and angled lid corners give it an upscale, modern appearance. The GL66 Pulse makes a good first impression with its gunmetal gray aluminum lid, a refreshing departure from MSI's historically all-black gaming notebooks. Overall, the GL66 Pulse struggles in too many areas to warrant more than a passing look, and even that only if you can find a discount. Our top 15.6-inch value pick remains the $1,349 Acer Predator Helios 300, which delivers similar frame rates, more than double the battery life, and superior features. (See our one-on-one interview with MSI about this model.) Though our $1,499 test unit produced good gaming performance thanks to its eight-core CPU and GeForce RTX 3060, it's a tough sell when the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro costs about the same with a faster AMD Ryzen processor and GeForce RTX 3070. The GL66 Pulse is MSI's latest midrange gaming laptop for 2021, offering Intel " Tiger Lake-H" processing and Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series graphics for as low as $949 in the base configuration. The Place of the Sermon within Matthew's Gospel. References to the temple could reflect discourses given in Judea ( 5:24 6:35 ). Behind Matthew's Sermon on the Mount is probably one delivered near Capernaum. As Jesus with his "but I tell you" ( Matthew 5:22 Matthew 5:28 Matthew 5:32 Matthew 5:34 Matthew 5:39 Matthew 5:44 ) puts himself in the place of God and makes his words the standard for the judgment ( 7:24-27 ), it is possible these sayings were gathered into written collections before being placed into Matthew's Gospel. References in the list of the apostles to Matthew as a tax collector ( 10:3 ), missing in the synoptic parallels ( Mark 3:18 Luke 6:15 ), suggest that the author had heard Jesus. This oral transmission developed into a fixed body of tradition that Matthew, apart from what he knew directly and remembered, also had at his disposal. The sermon most likely was transmitted first orally, as were rabbinic teachings, with repetition devices to aid memory. It is more likely that Luke passed over these sayings than that a later writer like Matthew added them. Such common oriental paradoxical exaggeration, rarely taken literally even by absolutist interpretations, requiring total commitment to the kingdom might escape or offend converts from a non-Jewish background. Matthew's retention of such severely cruel commands as plucking out one's eye and cutting off one's hand ( 5:28-29 ) can only be adequately explained if they originated with Jesus. The world reflected in the Sermon on the Mount was that of Jerusalem in the first half of the first century. Disparaging remarks about Gentiles praying empty phrases ( 6:7 ) would hardly fit a situation where they had become the majority (cf. Recent attempts to place the composition of the Sermon on the Mount after 85 to correspond with the Council of Jamnia are unconvincing, as the temple's destruction made its rituals inoperative. Laying gifts before the altar ( 5:23-24 ) and swearing by Jerusalem ( 5:35 ) reflect a time when Christians were still involved in Jewish cultic life (cf. Indications within the sermon challenge this. means that the evangelist was not an eyewitness but dependent on oral tradition. The dating of the Gospel affects the sermon's interpretation and its place of origin. Matthew is more the editor of sayings collected in the Sermon on the Mount than he is their author. Such divisions concluding with repetitions (e.g., "when Jesus had finished ), aided the reader's memory. His penchant for order is evident in the division of the genealogy into three parts each with fourteen persons ( 1:2-17 ), the five discourses, and the division of the Gospel into two parts ( 4:17 16:21 ) this indicates that he is arranging and editing preexisting material spoken by Jesus on more than one occasion, a suggestion put forth by Calvin and supported recently by Joachim Jeremias. Matthew's Sermon on the Mount must be interpreted within the totality of his Gospel and not as an isolated discourse. Mark has no similar discourse and his parallels are few ( Mark 4:21 Mark 4:24-25 9:43-48 11:25 ). Where Matthew's Sermon has the Lord's Prayer as part of a general instruction given by Jesus to the disciples ( 6:9 ), Luke has the disciples asking Jesus to follow the example of John the Baptist who taught his disciples to pray ( 11:1 ). Luke locates many parallels to Matthew's Sermon in other episodes of Jesus' life and not his Sermon on the Plain. Luke's parallel, the Sermon on the Plain ( 6:17-49 ), with its 33 verses compared to Matthew's 107 or 109, does not match its detail, organization, complexity of interpretation, and unequivocal demands. The study of its interpretations is the history of the development of theology. Since the postapostolic age it has attracted more attention than any other section of the Bible and was considered the quintessential expression of Jesus' teachings. Following Matthew's introduction to the person of Jesus (1:1-4:25), the sermon comprises the first words of Jesus to confront the reader and because of the arrangement of the canon, it holds the place of honor in the New Testament. 5-7) is the first, the longest, and the most prominent. Of the five discourses of Jesus in Matthew, the Sermon on the Mount (chaps. I'm buying a Mac mini for this purpose (along with being a media center). It's not the point of this thread, but I am just mentioning it because it's the ONLY drawback I can come up with with a NAS. The only thing I haven't quite figured out yet is that I want to create a subset of my iTunes library to keep on my laptop (for travel). It's really awesome having a NAS because I can access it from any of my computers at home, and I have peace of mind with it (thanks to RAID). iPhoto (and Aperture, for what it's worth) works just fine on my NAS! And same goes for iTunes. I can't directly answer your question about Time Machine, but I would imagine that Time Machine would be just fine with a NAS. Otherwise, it's plugged in via Gigabit Ethernet. It even works with a wireless bridge, which I use sometimes to connect it to my network. It holds 4 Seagate SATA drives (500GB each), has a great control panel, has streaming support (for iTunes and other media) and a whole list of other features. The form factor alone is really awesome (it's small and the finish/style even looks kind of like a Mac Pro). I recently bought an Infrant ReadyNAS NV+ with 1.5TB of space and I LOVE it. or would I be better of with another solution, like one monster 4 bay firewire DAS, and just learn to live with the wiring ( )? So, does anybody know if Time Machine (and possibly also iPhoto and even iTunes) works on volumes mounted from a NAS? Possibly even the above mentioned NAS? Having a laptop, which is restricted to one internal disk, I'm looking for an (easy and practical) solution for accessing an(y) external disk(s) from my MacBook. Now, I can probably live with my iTunes and iPhoto libraries on my internal disk, especially if I get some easy way to store other stuff, but thinking ahead I would love whatever solution I end up with to support Time Machine. I don't have a Mac to use as a server (the above mentioned 7500 is just too old, IMO) but could probably get an old B&W or something, but I don't have an obvious place to have it and would have to invest a bit in wiring (or another wireless base), so I'm leaning on the NAS as my best option.īut, and there's always a but, isn't there, even though the NAS I've got my eye on, the Synology Disk Station DS-101j, which has room for one internal disk and a couple of external USB2 drives (right?), is said to fully support Mac OS X, I suspect this means for setup and as a file server, and that the Photo and Backup solutions are based on some proprietary systems and not what I want. Having one solution for both my girlfriend's any my own machines would also be great. I have a couple of external HDs, but they are filled and I'm getting tired of the wires, and have started looking for other options, and it probably boils down to either setting up an old Mac as a file server or get a NAS. I've also started ripping DVDs, and even though I'm quite happy with relatively moderate bitrates, the GBs just fly away, etc, etc. Also my iPhoto library has out-grown the magical "1 DVD" size, and when I get my new DSLR I guess the need for space will just increase. My iTunes library are steadily growing (even if I just use for CD-rips and re-encoded for files I get elsewhere (e.g. I'm not doing anything extremely resource demanding, so my only issue (which I share with a lot of laptop owners, I guess) is: I need more storage space. I have a MacBook (coming from an iBook and befare that a Pismo), love the portability and don't know if I've ever going to get another desktop (my last one was a PowerMac 7500!). Long explanation, (potentially) short question at the bottom. 12/30/2023 0 Comments Wordpower bookshopLanguage, mathematics, music, parts of the body, and science.
